Trinity Lee Jaskela, on November 20, 1976, a sweet little baby boy was born to Dave and Shawn Langley.
They later divorced and she married again in 1979 to Jerry Jaskela. Trin was 2 ½ and we became a family. Jerry adopted him as his own later on. We lived in Vale for 6 years and we moved to the Jaskela farm east of Newell, where he went to school and graduated from Newell High School in 1995.
When he was in high school, he worked on small engines and had a repair shop at the farm called T-n-T Repair. He and Tucker Hostetter were a team. This is where it all began!!
He loved his little black horse, Little Joe and his dog, Sparky, his goat, Rambo and his Grampa, Jim whom he spent a lot of time riding horses in the hills with. They did it all. But one day he was introduced to a little motorcycle and that was the end of the horses.
He married his high school sweetheart, Chenoa Jenson right away out of high school and they went to the School of Mines, but Trin was not happy, so they divorced and she finished with honors. So, he worked as a mechanic around the area and moved to Spearfish, where he went to work at Barney’s Chain Saw Center. He loved it but then another opportunity came along and he was offered a job at Prestige Auto as a car salesman. He was doing good and he met, Andrea and they got married and that was not right either so he was just going to work. He wanted a home and he made enough money to buy a nice home on Swan Lane. He was so proud to have his own home and then he met his lovely beautiful, Lynette and a year later they got married, later having their first son, Corbin. He was so proud and happy. They had a good thing going. Then he started to struggle with anxiety and stress from the job and it was all getting to him, so he changed jobs and went to work for Darin, who had bought Barney’s Chain Saw Center, but still he struggled. They had another son, Cash and he was so proud of him too. Cutest little boys you ever saw, then came Klaus, he was a cutie too. They were so happy three wonderful little boys. They decided to move to the country and sold their house and moved to the farm outside of Belle Fourche and Trin still struggled and they divorced. But this time he was so crushed he just could not get it together and he worked so hard to get himself back. With a lot of help from his mom, and best friend, Pastor Jeff, whom he admired for his kindness and friendship and lots of others too. He needed to get better for his boys and himself.
After so long, he started his own business and moved around to two shops in town until he found the shop north of town. This was the one. He moved in and wow it was great and here came all the business and the boys loved working in the shop. But his health was declining, his heart was poor. He struggled for a long time. He will be missed by so many for all his repairs and knowledge of being a mechanic. He loved all his customers. He loved his job and his boys.
Then he met his old classmate, Amy Rounds, and she was his buddy and good friend, so they became partners for life. Sadly, to say he lost his battle on July 13, 2024.
He has left behind his three boys, Corbin, Cash, and Klaus; Lynette, Amy; his dog, Diesel; and of course, his dad and mom, aunts, and uncles, and numerous cousins. All his favorite customers. You know who you are LOL. And lots of friends.
He was preceded in death by his cousins, Tonya Pitts, Justin Johnson, Travis Singleton, two grandpas’ and grandma’s, one aunt, and three uncles.
