Tuesday municipal elections in area communities

UNDATED – Sturgis is not the only municipality holding elections tomorrow.

In Deadwood, there is a race for mayor between Todd Weber and David R. Ruth Jr. There is also a mayoral race in Lead between Ron Everett and Dustin Heupel.

Whitewood voters will decide two election races on Tuesday, April 12.

Incumbent mayor Mitch Harmon will face challenger Mike Weyrich, who currently represents Ward 3. Weyrich is a former mayor of the town.

A Ward 3 race pits incumbent council member Jerry Davidson against challenger Dale O’Dea who also previously served.

On the ballot in Spearfish will be elections for Ward 2 and 3 council seats, as well as Mayor, all of which are three-year terms.

In Ward 2, Incumbent Larry Klarenbeek and Gabe Bell are on the ballot.

In Ward 3, Incumbent Ana Rath Culver, Brandon Earl, and Dustin Lee are on the ballot.

For Mayor, John Senden and James Vande Hey are on the ballot.

And, in Wall, the election will be for Ward 2 Alderman and the Mayor. Running for Mayor are Gordy Kraut, Mary Williams and Jackie Kusser. Running for Ward 2 are Zach Hoffman, Jason Leonard and Stan Anderson.

And, in Faith, five  candidates are seeking three of the at large seats on city council. They are Amy Bochman, Sandy Rasmussen, Nathan Stern, Diane Hellekson and Rae Shalla.
