PIERRE, S.D. – South Dakota Health officials reported 163 total new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday with 29 of them listed in the probable category.
The number of active cases across the state was down 66 to 2,419.
The number of people hospitalized was back up today to 98. That is up 10 from Monday’s 88.
No new deaths were reported.
Pennington County had 14 new cases Tuesday, sending their cumulative total since the pandemic began to 13,293.
Lawrence County had 2 new cases and Meade County added one new case.
Other new cases around the Black Hills area included 3 in Custer and 2 in Oglala Lakota County.
