Two additional public information meetings scheduled to discuss Marcotte Development

STURGIS, S.D. – The city of Sturgis has announced two additional public information meetings have been scheduled to discuss the Marcotte Development.

The public is encouraged to attend one or more of these meetings to learn more about this development and related improvements. 

Meetings will take place on Wednesday, January 13 at 6:00 PM and Wednesday, January 27 at 6:00 PM at the Sturgis Community Center Theater.

A municipal election on a referendum to stop the development is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, February 2. 

Polls will be open at the Sturgis Community Center from 7 AM until 7 PM.

Your vote – 

A YES vote means you are in favor of a 5-year delay on any development of the property as well as the related improvements included in the project.

By voting NO on the referendum, the development and related improvements will have the ability to move forward.
