Two pedestrians hurt after being struck by a vehicle on West Omaha Street

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City Police are investigating a vehicle vs pedestrian crash that injured two people.

Police say it happened Monday night in the 1100 block of West Omaha Street.

Upon arrival, police located two injured pedestrians, who were taken to the hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrians remained on scene and at this time, police do not believe alcohol or drugs are involved.

Witnesses say the vehicle was westbound on West Omaha and the two pedestrians were in the roadway several hundred feet from the nearest crosswalks.

The crash remains under active investigation.
