STURGIS, S.D. – A two vehicle crash slowed traffic on Junction Avenue early Thursday afternoon.
The crash involved a silver passenger car that had struck the passenger side of a red S.U.V.
Sturgis Police Chief Geody Vandewater says the first vehicle, the red S.U.V., was traveling north on Junction and attempted to make a left turn into the alley between Main and Sherman. The vehicle failed to yield the right-of-way and was struck on the passenger side by the second vehicle, the passenger car, traveling south.
Minor injuries to the occupant of the car was reported and they were taken to the Sturgis Hospital by Sturgis Ambulance crews to be treated.
Charges are pending for minor traffic violations.
