STURGIS, S.D. – The Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs was at the Sturgis Rally Monday and made a stop to visit with veterans at the Sturgis VFW.
Tanya Bradsher met with veterans and highlighted the work the Fort Meade VA Medical Center has done to provide better healthcare services for veterans.
Bradsher touched on the PACT Act, which she says has been instrumental in helping veterans who were exposed to toxins while serving, receive the care they need.
Bradsher noted veterans have voiced displeasure with healthcare services through the VA in the past and said the VA will make it its mission to gain their trust back moving forward.
Bradsher is set to visit the Rapid City VA Clinic Tuesday with Senator Mike Rounds where she will participate in a closed roundtable with veterans.
