VALE, SD – There’s nothing more enjoyable than getting together with folks you haven’t seen in awhile. The Vale Ag Fair set for Wed., Jan. 12 provides just that kind of opportunity says Vale Community Club President Larry Knutson.
“There will be quite a crowd. It will be a good day for visiting. I encourage people to come out and say thanks to the vendors who do business in the area.”
Of the 22 vendors that will be set up at the annual Vale Ag Fair, Jenner Equipment out of Rapid City – that sells and services Bobcat, Kuboda, New Holland farm equipment and construction equipment – is one of the longest participants. David Jenner, the third generation in the business, says the Vale Ag Fair offers them a chance to visit with friends and customers.
“We enjoy going to the Vale Ag Fair every year,” he says. “It’s a good chance to meet with local customers face-to-face and get candid feed-back.”
The Vale Ag Fair opens to the public at 10am on Wednesday. A variety of businesses, services, and representatives will be on hand. Vendors will be open until 2pm or after. And a free beef dinner, hosted by those businesses, will be served from 11am to 1pm
“Everyone from bankers to equipment dealers to hydraulic and cement businesses and insurance representatives come to the Vale Ag Fair. Vendors represent a good cross-section of the ag business,” says Knutson.
Jenner adds, “It’s exciting to see how the community comes together in support of each other. That and along with us being in business and having attended for a long time, it’s fun to see the next generation of farm and ranch people too.”
