Vale man pleads not guilty in connection with Spearfish burglary, assault.

SPEARFISH, S.D. – A Vale man has pleaded not guilty to first degree burglary in  connection with an incident in Spearfish on August 20.

Jeremy Warren Jones, 33, is accused of breaking into an apartment and assaulted two females.

Court documents indicate Jones allegedly broke through a window screen and was confronted by two females who lived there. Jones allegedly punched them and made demands before he was chased out after one of the females grabbed a knife.

Jones has four prior convictions, including three out of Nebraska.

He remains in the Lawrence County jail in lieu of a $20,000 cash bond. He’s due back in court on October 17th.
