RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City police have identified the victim in last week’s shooting in the 4500 block of Candlewood Place.
Authorities Monday say 24-year-old McGarland Walker was found deceased after being shot Thursday night.
Police have arrested 21-year-old Luke Birch in connection with the shooting.

He was taken into custody on Friday for First Degree Murder.
Police say information garnered during the investigation indicates Birch knew Walker, although the specific circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
