Wall girls and boys claim titles at Western Great Plains Conference Track and Field Meet

LYMAN, S.D. – In high school track and field Thursday, the annual Western Great Plains Conference meet was held in Lyman.

Both Wall girls’ and boys’ team claimed the team titles as the Eagles crowned multiple winners.

In girls’ results:

The Eagles won 4×100-meter and 4×200 relays, Ava Dinger claimed the triple jump with a leap of 33 feet, 5 inches and Lilly Wagner placed first in the discus throw.

In the boys results for Wall:

Tack Tines won the 200-meter dash and the long jump, Brodi Sundall claimed the 800 and Rylan McDonnell placed first in the triple jump. The Wall boys also placed first in the 4×100 and 4×200 relays.

In other girls’ events:

White River’s Caelyn Valandra-Prue claimed the 100 and 400, and also won the 800.  Cerington Jones of New Underwood placed first in the 200 and long jump.

Jones County’s Jolie Dugan won the 1600, and Philip’s Presley Terkildsen claimed the 3200. Portia Wiebers of New Underwood placed first in the 300 hurdles, Gracie Eisenbraun of Kadoka Area won the pole vault and Philip’s Kiarra Moses won the shot put.

In other boys’ events:

Jones County’s Slade Benedict won the 100, while Rapid City Christian’s Ryan Porch won the 400 nd teammate Ezra Wildeman placed first in the 1600 and the 3200. The Comets’ Conrad Barrozo won the 110 hurdles and Garret Hatheway of Jones Conty claimed the 300 hurdles.

Joe Sayler of White River won the high jump, Chase Maher of RC Christian placed first in the pole vault and Kadoka Area’s Reed Ohrtman won the shot put.
