Webinar to focus on value-added ag, rural business development

PIERRE, SD – A Value-Added Producer Grant and Rural Business Development Grant Webinar will be held Wed., March 17^th from 1 p.m.- 2:30 p.m. (MT).

The Value-Added Producer Grant program provides competitive grants to individual agricultural producers, groups of independent producers, producer-controlled entities, and farmer or rancher cooperatives to create or develop value-added, producer-owned businesses.

The Rural Business Development Grant provides technical assistance and training for small rural businesses. Those who are eligible to apply are non-profit organizations, Indian Tribes, non-profit cooperatives, and education institutions organized under state and federal laws.

This webinar is two sections, the first being an update on the 2021 Value-Added Producer Grant (VAPG) that coincides with the previous VAPG webinar. The second being an overview of the Rural Business Development Grant (RBDG), both sections have time allotted for questions.
