PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Health reported 574 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday with 191 of those listed under the probable category.
Active cases have again surpassed 7,000 with 7,080 being reported today.
The number of people hospitalized dropped by six today to 231.
Two new deaths were reported, sending the state’s death toll to 2,320.
Across the Black Hills area, Pennington County had 85 total new cases with 12 of those listed as probable.
Meade County added 19 total new cases with one probable and Lawrence County had 16 new cases.
Elsewhere, Butte County reported 10 new cases, Fall River County tallied 7, Custer County listed 5 and Oglala Lakota County reported one new probable case.
