STURGIS, S.D. – Light snow left area roads slippery Wednesday morning, resulting in a number of accidents.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol responded to several accident calls – most of them vehicles that had slid into the ditch along the I-90 corridor.
A three vehicle accident was among the most serious west of Sturgis.
That accident involved two cars and a semi-truck, which was lying on its side in the median and part of the westbound lane.
There were injuries reported, but they were not believed to be serious.
Law enforcement was urging travelers to be mindful of the poor roads and slow down.
