Wednesday’s COVID-19 report – 482 new cases, three new deaths

PIERRE, S.D. – The health department reported 482 new cases of COVID-19 in their Wednesday report. Of those 482, 102 were considered as probable.

The active caseload has increased by 129 to 6,663 while the number of hospitalizations was up to 239.

There were three new deaths reported, sending the state’s death toll to 2,297.

Across the Black Hills area, Pennington County reported 66 new cases with four of those listed under the probable category.

Lawrence County had 11 new cases with two of those probable and Meade County reported 19 new cases Wednesday.

Other new cases across the Black Hills area included 8 in Butte County, 7 in Custer County and 5 in Fall River County.
