Wednesday’s COVID-19 report – one new death, 376 new cases

PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Health reported 376 new cases of COVID-19 in their Wednesday report. Of those, 19 were probable.

Active cases increased to 1,939 and the number of people hospitalized has surpassed 100 to 105.

One new death was reported, sending the state’s death toll to 2,056. The new death was a man in the 20-29 age range from Brule County.

Pennington County reported 85 new cases Wednesday; of which, 2 were considered as probable.

Meade County added 50 confirmed new cases and 2 probable cases.

Lawrence County added 41 new cases and Butte County had 17.

Custer County reported 7 new cases and Fall River County added 4.
