PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Health reported 1,088 new COVID-19 cases in their Wednesday report. Of those, 174 are considered as probable cases.
Today’s update includes three days of numbers – Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Active cases decreased by 450 Wednesday to 6,089. The number of people hospitalized saw a small increase over yesterday to 207.
There were no new deaths reported, keeping the state’s death toll at 2,177.
New cases across the Black Hills area included 204 in Pennington County, with 21 of those considered probable.
Meade County had the next highest amount with 39 confirmed and 3 probable cases.
Lawrence County added 35 new cases and Butte County had 11 confirmed and one probable case.
Elsewhere, Oglala Lakota County reported 18 new cases, Fall River County added 16, Custer County listed 14 and Harding County had 5 new cases.
