PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Health Department reported 641 new cases of COVID-19 in their weekly report issued Wednesday.
There were 43 new hospitalizations listed over the past week, with a total of 68 people hospitalized due to the virus.
Active cases numbered 473.
Nine new deaths among cases were reported, with one listed out of Pennington County. The state’s death toll reached 3,190 this week.
New cases across the Black Hills this week included 60 in Pennington County, 15 in Meade County and 11 in Lawrence County.
Elsewhere, Oglala Lakota County reported 32 new cases, Fall River County had 7, Butte County listed 3 and Custer County had just one new case.
