PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Health released their weekly COVID-19 report on Wednesday.
Health officials reported 113 total new cases with 6 of those listed as probable.
Active cases saw an increase of the week from 178 to 208. The number of people hospitalized was at 20.
One new death was reported, sending the state’s death toll since the pandemic began o 2,040.
Across the Black Hills area, Pennington County saw the most cases over the past week with 31.
There were six new cases each in Butte and Lawrence Counties.
Meade and Custer County each reported four new cases and Oglala Lakota County had one new case.
As of Wednesday, 57.33% of the population 12-years-old and above has received at least one dose while 53.25% have completed the vaccination series.
