PIERRE, S.D. – New cases of COVID-19 were up a bit this week as state health officials reported 631 in their weekly update. That is up from last week’s 624.
Hospitalizations remained relatively stable at 63.
Three new deaths among cases were listed, sending the state’s death toll to 3,049.
Across the Black Hills area, Pennington County had 50 new cases over the past week.
Meade County reported 17 and Lawrence County added 16.
Elsewhere, Fall River County had 29 new cases, Oglala Lakota listed 22, Custer County reported 7 and Harding County had one new case.
