Weekly COVID-19 Update shows decline in new cases

PIERRE, S.D. – In their weekly report, the Department of Health reported 624 new COVID-19 cases.

There were 28 new hospitalizations for a total of 83 this week.

One new death was reported, sending the state’s death toll to 3,116.

Across the Black Hills, Pennington County reported 68 new cases, Meade County had 10 and Lawrence County listed 4.

Elsewhere, Fall River County showed 9 new cases, Oglala Lakota County had 6, Custer County reported 4 and there were 2 new cases out of Butte County.
