GERING, Neb – Western Nebraska picked up a 7-4 win over the Spearfish Sasquatch Thursday night.
Tyler Mead helped lead the Pioneers by going 2 for 3 at the plate, with two runs and two R.B.I.
Adrian Short earned the pitching win, going five-and-two-thirds innings and striking out eight batters.
For Spearfish, Harrison Clark went for 1 for 2 at the plate and scored one of the Sasquatch runs.
The two teams meet again Friday night at 6:35 p.m. in Gering, Nebraska.
