EAGLE BUTTE, S.D. — According to the Office of Chairman, Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe, officials are investigating after a deceased child was found in Eagle Butte on Sunday.
In a statement, the Cheyenne River Tribal Police reported the child was found with injuries that could have been caused by a canine attack.
Officials say they will not be able to determine the cause of death until the autopsy is conducted.

Animal Control will be patrolling and picking up animals not tied up, leashed or in a fence on Monday, police said.
