CUSTER, S.D. – Fire crews were battling a wildfire in Custer State Park Wednesday.
The Mine Draw Fire is burning near Highway 16, north of the park shop. It was reported to have grown to approximately 150 acres as of Wednesday night.
According to a post on the park’s Facebook page, no park structures or public areas are being threatened at this time.
State, federal and local fire crews are on the scene; and two helicopters have been brought in; with more resources on the way.
The fire was first reported around 11:20 Wednesday morning.
