RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Battle Creek Fire Department held a Wildland fire to a single alarm Friday.
The fire was located near Daughenbaugh Road, four miles north of Hermosa.
Upon arrival Firefighters observed a fire burning in cured grass, and immediately stopped the forward progress of the fire.
The fire was contained to approximately 4.59 acres, with the cause under investigation.
No injuries to Firefighters, Civilians or domestic animals were reported.
