William Thomas (Bill) Snow

William Thomas (Bill) Snow, 76, of Whitewood, SD, formerly of Cody, WY, was called home to Heaven on January 24th, 2025. Born on June 22nd, 1948, in Painesville, Ohio to Searle and Evelyn Jean Thomas Snow, Bill was the treasured younger brother of Susan (Snow) Wolfkill – at least that was his story. A Vietnam era veteran, Bill proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1968-1970; then later a short service with the Wyoming National Guard. A man of many talents, Bill had various vocations in life including Refinery mechanic, Welder, Carpenter, Rancher, Hunting Guide, Machinist, Bronze sculpture repairer, Oilfield hand and later, Management. Bill had many hobbies, but most enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Father to Charles, Theresa, Katherine, and April, Bill found much joy supporting his children to achieve their life’s dreams. Grandfather to Lindsey, Cayleigh, Reed, and Nicholas-Dean, and Great Grandfather to Aaron and Rhea, Bill embraced his role as the head of the family he was “blessed” with. For more than 25 years Bill was also blessed to have been married to Connie (O’Banion) Snow, his self-described best friend and soul mate.

Bill is survived by Connie, Charles (Cathy) Snow, Theresa (Matt Eberle) Snow, Katherine (Kevin) Snow-Young, and April Snow, as well as Lindsey (Ryan) Reed, Cayleigh (Jake) Snow-Nickle, Reed (Katie) Misner, Nicholas-Dean Snow, and Aaron and Rhea Misner. He is also survived by sister Susan (Snow) Wolfkill, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, including Charlie Brown who was more of a brother than cousin, and friends. He will be especially missed by Casey and Ida, he and Connie’s beloved English Springer Spaniels.

There will be a viewing on Thursday, January 30th at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis, from 5-7pm, with services on Friday, January 31st at 10:30 am, Kinkade Funeral Chapel, Sturgis.  There will be virtual services available via their website: www.kinkadefunerals.com. Interment to follow at Whitewood Cemetery, Whitewood.  As per Bill’s wishes, please gather for luncheon and wake at the Whitewood Senior Center following the internment.  Family and close friends are invited to continue the wake at Bill and Connie’s home, 20242 Remington Place, Whitewood.
