STURGIS, S.D. – It’s homecoming week in Sturgis and Cade Willnerd and Averigh Long were crowned 2024 Sturgis Homecoming King and Queen on Monday night in the coronation ceremony held at Woodle Field.
Coronation was followed by the burning of the “S” in the Woodle Field Parking Lot.
Other Homecoming 2024 Royalty members include Natalie Ewing, Kylee Phillips, Kira Willnerd, Paige Willnerd and Natalie Ruff for the girls and Ty Ferguson, Tyler Petrocco, Daniel Voight, Revan Wilde and Lincoln Wilson for the boys.
Monday’s coronation starts a full week of activities for students in Sturgis. They include a parade on Friday at 2:45 and the Scooper football game Friday at 6:30.
