BOX ELDER, S.D. – The Douglas Early Bird Track Meet took place Thursday at Douglas High School.
In girls events:
Jayda McNabb of Rapid City Stevens captured the 100 meters, Cerington Jones of New Underwood won the 200, Jade Ecoffey of Red Cloud won the 800 and 1,600 and Alissa Wieman of Douglas captured the 3,200 meters.
In the hurdles, Jaylen Nachtigall of Hot Springs won the 100 and Anna Lewis of Custer won the 300.
In the relay races, Rapid City Stevens won the 4×200 and the 4×800 while Rapid City Central won the 4×100 meters. Custer captured the 4×800 and Sturgis won the 1,600 sprint medley. Sturgis also captured second in the 4×800 and 4×400.
In field events, Megan Baloun of Stevens won the high jump, Brekkan Lockhart of Stevens won the pole vault, Peyton Bagley of RC Central won the long jump, Belle Jensen captured the triple jump, Kellyn Kortemeyer of Custer won the shot put and discus throw.
In boys events:
Jaden Guthmiller of Spearfish won the 100 meter dash and the 200 meter dash, Chad Thorn of St Thomas More won the 400 meters, Simeon Birnbaum of Stevens captured the 800 meters, Krenan Uridales of Spearfish won the 1,600 meters and Sawyer Clarkson of Belle Fourche won the 3,200 meters.
In the hurdles, Mikael Grace of Custer won the 110 meter hurdles and Tanner Lunders of Stevens won the 300 meters. Brodie Eisenbraun of Sturgis placed 3rd in the 100 and 2nd in the 300.
In the relay races, Rapid City Central won the 4×100, Spearfish took the 4×200, Sturgis won the 4×400 relay, and Custer won the 4×800 and 1,600 meter sprint medley.
In track events, Brayden Delahoyde of Spearfish won the high jump, Ashton Dekker of Custer won the pole vault, Julian Swallow of Rapid City Central won the long jump and triple jump, Jason Maciejczak of Douglas won the shot put and discus throw.
