Woman arrested after driving stolen car into building

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Police say a stolen car crashed through the side of a building Wednesday afternoon in Rapid City.

RCPD says it happened on 7th and Saint Anne Street at around 2:30 p.m. when police say Jalesa Quick Bear, 32, of Rapid City left the Safeway parking lot and drove across the road, through two parking lots, and hit the Advanced Dermatology of the Black Hills building.

Although the building is still undergoing inspections for structural damage, police say the cost is estimated to be about $100,000 so far.

There have been no reported significant injuries.

Quick Bear was placed under arrest for driving under the influence, reckless driving, open container in a motor vehicle, no proof of insurance, no seatbelt and two other warrants.
