RAPID CITY, S.D. – An accident between a Y.M.C.A. bus and passenger car on Thursday sent several bus passengers to the hospital.
Rapid City Police say the incident occurred when the southbound bus was making a left hand turn onto Cathedral Drive from Mount Rushmore Road and was struck by a northbound car.
Police spokesman Brendyn Medina says 13 passengers on the bus were transported to the Rapid City hospital to be reviewed for injuries, although no serious injuries were reported. He said they were taken to the hospital out of an abundance of caution.
The Y.M.C.A. says the bus was en-route to a swimming pool trip.
