RAPID CITY, S.D. — From April 2-3, Youth & Family Services (YFS) will hold its 25th Annual Kids Fair event, a celebration of children and their families held every spring at The Monument to more than 10,000 individuals attending the event.
The fair has been cancelled for the past two years due to pandemic related reasons and will be making its return this weekend. The doors to the fair will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 3.
Attendees can expect a variety of attractions such as inflatables, mini-train rides, balloon animals, play areas for infants and toddlers, a Strider biker course, more than 50 booths offering hands-on activities, a giant sandbox, live entertainment and more.
Daily admission for the fair is $5 per person with free admission for kids six months and younger
Proceeds from the event will benefit children enrolled in YFS’ programs. YFS works to help close the opportunity gap for disadvantaged children and young people in the Black Hills community. Each year, YFS serves more than 14,000 children and their families throughout 29 counties in western South Dakota–many living in poverty–providing food, access to health care, counseling services, trauma, treatment, education, prevention programs and other support.
