No one hurt after truck catches fire on I-90

STURGIS, S.D. – No one was hurt after a truck load of sawdust caught fire on I-90 Thursday.

Sturgis Police Chief Geody VanDewater says several agencies responded to the call just after 10:00 a.m. Thurday morning.

He says officers located a semi truck on the off ramp at I-90’s, Exit 30. The truck was carrying a load of sawdust that had caught fire.

Sturgis Fire Crews responded and were able to put out the fire.

Agencies responding included Sturgis Police Department, Meade County Sheriff’s Office, SD Game, Fish and Parsk officers, South Dakota Highway Patrol and Sturgis Fire.
