Allen Todd Reinford

Allen Todd Reinford was born April 28, 2022 in Nisland, SD.  He was the son of Greg and Diane (Zimmerman) Reinford.  Allen was 16 months old and he was a big boy.  Greg’s grandpa Zimmerman was known for being a big man with big hands and feet, and Allen had similar traits. They always thought he was going to take after grandpa Zimmerman in a similar way.

Allen loved to smile and play.  He was cheerful and it was fun to tickle him and toss him in the air and listen to him giggle.  When Greg was working with tools, Allen loved to pick them up and try to carry them around.  He was just starting to say a few words, and “momma” and “dadda” were two of them he could say.  He loved to cuddle as well.

Allen was called home to heaven on September 4th, 2023 after a sudden infection that is difficult to understand.  He will be missed so much because he was loved so much.

Allen was a blessing to his whole family in so many wonderful ways.  They include his mom and dad, Greg and Diane Reinford of Nisland; his maternal grandparents, Alvin and Mary Zimmerman of Lucedale MS; paternal grandparents, Wes and Carla Reinford of Nisland; maternal great grandfather, Wayne Heatwole of Rosthern, SK; paternal great grandparents, Martha Zimmerman of Paris MI, Stanley and Esther Reinford of Mt. Holly Springs PA; aunts and uncles, Matthew and Rosalyn, Nathan and Mary, Judith and Nevin, Leanna and Nevin, Henry and Jolene, Eric and Janelle, Kendra and Sam, Emily and Brian, Lynn and Stephenie, Will, Lucy, Alisha, Tristan, Zach, Shawnda, and Elsie; as well as numerous cousins.

Allen was preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents, Margaret Heatwole, Clarence and Verna Zimmerman; and paternal great grandfather, Laban Zimmerman.

On Friday, September 8th, 2023 a visitation will be held from 2pm to 4pm, and 6pm to 8pm at the Black Hills Mennonite Church in Belle Fourche.  The funeral service will be held 10am Saturday, September 9th at the Black Hills Gospel Assembly Church in Belle Fourche.  Interment will take place in the Black Hills Mennonite Cemetery.
