Area athletes compete at O’Gorman Track and Field Invite

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Athletes from around the area traveled to Sioux Falls for the O’Gorman Track and Field Invite Friday.

Checking some Class AA results:

Aiden Hedderman of Sturgis captured the 110 meter hurdles and his teammate Nathanael Jones came in third in the 300 meter hurdles.

Tanner Lunders of Rapid City Stevens captured the 200 meters while his teammate Matthew Werner won the 800 meters.

On the girls side;

Isabelle Hardmeyer of Rapid City Central edged out Sturgis’ Cali Ewing for the 100 meter title. Dru Keegan of Belle Fourche captured the Class A 100 meters.

Ella Bradeen of Stevens captured the Class AA 200 meters and Dupree’s Raelynn Vines won the Class A 200 meters and the 400 meters.

Lucia Vidas of Stevens won the 800 meters.

Kyra Vandenberg of Belle Fourche won the 3,200 meters.

In the relay races, Sturgis placed a strong second in the 4 x 100 meters, and Hot Springs won the Class A 4 x 100.

Stevens brought home first place in the 4 x 200 and Douglas brought home second in the medley relay.

In field events, Hope Bryant of Stevens won the pole vault and her teammate Rebecca Theis won the long jump.
