RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Pennington County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the victim of a homicide in Rapid Valley Tuesday.
On Tuesday night, authorities say 54-year-old Julie Fisk of Rapid City was found deceased at a home on Long View Drive. There was also evidence on scene pointing to arson. According to public record, Fisk was listed as the owner of the home where she was found.
Police located a suspect at a home on Moon Meadows Drive after conducting an investigation. The suspect, identified as 64-year-old Brent Kertzman of Rapid City, was taken to the hospital with self-inflicted injuries. He has been charged with First Degree Murder and First Degree Arson.
The incident remains under investigation.

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City Police are investigating what appears to be a possible homicide in Rapid Valley.
Upon arriving at an address on Long View Drive Tuesday morning, law enforcement found a deceased woman and evidence pointing to arson.
Police located a suspect at a home on Moon Meadows Drive. He was later taken to the hospital with self-inflicted injuries and is currently stable.
The Pennington County Sheriff’s Office says that the parties involved have been identified and there is no threat to the public.
The incident is still under investigation and anyone with additional information should contact the Pennington County Sheriff’s office.
