Beverly “Bev” Watts

Beverly “Bev” Watts, born on February 8, 1958, left this world on September 25, 2023 after a courageous and valiant battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Bev was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

On May 18, 1979, she embarked on a journey of love and commitment when she married Rene Watts. Their union was blessed with two wonderful sons, Justin and Tyler, who would become the pride and joy of her life.

In the summer of 1976, Bev embarked on a long and fulfilling career at Sundance State Bank, where she dedicated four decades of her life to her work. Her unwavering dedication and strong work ethic were an inspiration to her colleagues and a source of pride for her family.

However, her career came to an early end due to the relentless progression of Multiple Sclerosis, a challenge she faced with remarkable strength and grace. For the last five years of her life, Bev received compassionate care from Crook County Medical Services, and her resilience in the face of adversity continued to inspire all who knew her.

Bev’s true passion lay in cherishing moments with her family, embracing the great outdoors through camping adventures, and celebrating every occasion, big or small. Her kindness and selflessness knew no bounds, as she always ensured that everyone around her was taken care of.

No matter the hand she was dealt, Bev approached life with an unwavering spirit and made the absolute best of it. Her boundless optimism and infectious laughter uplifted the spirits of those fortunate enough to be in her presence.

Bev’s strength and spirit were a testament to her character, and she was surrounded by the love and support of a close-knit group of friends and family who rallied by her side throughout her journey, maintaining a positive outlook even in the face of adversity.

Bev is survived by her devoted husband, Rene Watts, and her beloved sons, Justin Watts (wife Danielle) and Tyler Watts (wife Ashley). She leaves behind a legacy of love that continues through her cherished grandchildren: Brooks, Parker, Aurora, Aspen, and Austin.

In the memories we hold and the love that endures, Bev’s spirit will forever live on. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her legacy of resilience, love, and generosity will continue to inspire us in our own journeys through life.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or a relevant charity of your choice, in honor of Bev’s memory.

A celebration of Bev’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on October 3, 2023, at Alva cemetery. Friends and family are invited to join in commemorating the remarkable life of this extraordinary woman.  Reception at the Greater Hulett Community Center to follow the celebration of life.

“Though she may be gone from our sight, Bev will forever remain in our hearts, a beacon of strength, love, and unwavering resilience.”
