BH Adventure Tours wins tourism award

DEADWOOD, S.D. – Carrie Gerlach, founder and CEO of Black Hills Adventure Tours was awarded the George S. Mickelson Award on January 18, 2024, at the South Dakota Governor’s Conference on Tourism.

On Thursday, January 18th, Governor Kristi Noem and Travel South Dakota recognized and celebrated the dedication, loyalty, and passion of tourism industry members and businesses throughout South Dakota. Awards were presented by Governor Noem to deserving recipients from across the state.

“These are the kind of people who embody the essence of customer service in South Dakota,” said James Hagen, Secretary of the Department of Tourism. “Their profound dedication, resilience, and talent are what put our state’s hospitality above all other competitors.
