STURGIS, S.D. —Black Hills National Cemetery held their annual Memorial Day wreath laying ceremony Monday.
For the second year in a row, the event was held without public attendance due to the pandemic.
After brief remarks, a wreath was placed honoring the fallen. The Sturgis Color Guard provided a rifle volley salute followed by taps.
Cemetery Director Terry Corkins hopes to return to normal ceremonies next year.
