BOX ELDER, S.D. – A 22-year-old western South Dakota man is behind bars facing child porn and sexual exploitation charges.
Taylor Bloomgren, Box Elder, S.D., has been federally indicted on charges of child pornography and sexual exploitation of a minor.
While the investigation originated in Folsom, California, the Box Elder Police Department (BEPD) has now taken the lead. BEPD has already conducted multiple interviews, executed search warrants, and performed a forensic examination of Bloomgren’s electronic devices.
On Monday, March 11, officers of the BEPD arrested Bloomgren four days after the United States Marshals Service issued an arrest warrant on Friday, March 8.
Bloomgren is in custody at the Pennington County Jail.
Bail was to be determined on Friday, March 15, and a trial date has been set for May 21.
The charges are merely accusations and Bloomgren is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
