DEADWOOD, S.D. — A Deadwood casino was dealt a suspended fine for two incidents when the blackjack decks didn’t have the legally required 52 cards.
The South Dakota Gaming Commission punished The Lodge at Deadwood with a $250 penalty but suspended the fine providing there isn’t another violation within one year.
In both instances, players had their buy-ins returned.
According to Susan Christian, South Dakota Gaming Commission executive secretary, The Lodge has always been very good about refunding and knows its customers well.
