PIERRE, S.D. – There were 90 new cases of COVID-19 in the state according to the Department of Health in their Saturday report.
Pennington County was the only one to report new cases in the immediate Black Hills area.
Pennington recorded 13 new cases for a cumulative total of 297. There are 183 active cases in the county.
In Meade County, the active case load today is 13 and Lawrence County has 2 active cases.
The number of active cases statewide is down today to 1,029 from Friday’s 1,033. The number of hospitalizations, however, is up 10 from yesterday to 93.
Negative tests are at 50,091, up from Friday’s 48,086.
The death toll from the coronavirus remains at 65.
