NEWCASTLE, Wyoming – In area wrestling Friday, the Sturgis Scooper J.V. squad finished second in the team standings at the Dogie Invitational.
Sturgis finished with 436.5 points, just behind Thunder Basin, who won the tourney with 441 points.
Natrona County was third and Sheridan finished fourth.
Sturgis crowned six winners on the day, including: Tyce Dunn at 106, Taten Adams at 126, Wyatt Marler at 138, Evan Juelfs at 150, Gavin Werlinger at 157 and Asher Sarkela at 175.

In other wrestling action Friday, the Badlands Brawlers won their home invitational, scoring 276.5 points to claim the Philip Invite.
Rapid City Stevens finished second with 152.5 and Gordon-Rushville out of Nebraska was third in the team standings with 150.5.
Philip/Wall/Kadoka crowned nine champions on the day.
