PIERRE, S.D. – Health officials reported 418 new cases of COVID-19 Friday with 121 of those listed as probable.
Active cases increased to 6,820 while the number of people in the hospital because of the virus dropped to 234.
Two new deaths were reported sending the state’s death toll to 2,305. The two deaths were reported out of Codington and Minnehaha County.
Pennington County reported 73 new cases Friday with 23 of those listed as probable.
Meade County listed 9 new cases and Lawrence County tallied 8 new cases.
Elsewhere, Butte County had 6, Fall River County had 5 and Custer County reported 4 new cases.
