Grand Opening of new VA outpatient care facility announced, veterans, public invited

RAPID CITY, S.D. – A partnership with vision has finally come to completion with the opening of a new Veterans Affairs medical facility in Rapid City.

The grand opening for the Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) is Thursday, August 17, 2023 at 1:00p.m. Veterans and the public are encouraged to attend.

The building of the new Rapid City VA Clinic was a partnership between the Dept. of Veterans Affairs, the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), and Dream Design International.

The new clinic will offer the same services currently offered at the 5th Street clinic building but includes an expanded laboratory, imaging (x-ray/MRI/CT), physical therapy, and women’s health services.

The new CBOC will allow VA Black Hills to serve Veterans in an outpatient setting in a building designed to deliver community-based care.

New VA Outpatient Clinic Set To Open In August

With the addition of this new CBOC and the infrastructure and construction improvements to the VA Medical Centers in Fort Meade and Hot Springs, VA Black Hills will continue to deliver the highest quality of care Veterans deserve.

The Grand Opening will include guest speakers, a ribbon cutting, tours of the new clinic, and refreshments.

Guest speakers include Lisa Curnes- Director of the VA Black Hills Health Care System, Robert McDivitt- Network Director for VA VISN 23, Hani Shafai- CEO of Dream Design International, Denise Maes- GSA Regional Administrator for the Rocky Mountain Region, Congressman Dusty Johnson

The location of the new VA Outpatient Clinic is 2165 Promise Rd. Rapid City, SD.
