Highway Patrol says icy roads lead to morning accidents

RAPID CITY, S.D.  The South Dakota Highway Patrol says with overnight temperatures in the 30s, authorities responded to a hand full of accidents Thursday morning due to slippery roads.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol says they responded to a number of accidents on bridges and icy, shady turns.

The patrol says there were seven crashes on I-90, 5 on Sturgis Road, at least 3 on Highway 16 and several on Highway 385.
