RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City Fire officials say one person was hurt in an apartment fire Thursday.
Fire units responded to the Denver Terrace Apartment on Denver Street for a structure fire and upon arrival noticed smoke coming from the dwelling.
First arriving units entered the complex and found a victim in the involved apartment. Crews were able to rescue the victim from the building. The victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
The fire was extinguished quickly and was contained to the single apartment.
Cause of the fire is under investigation.
