RAPID CITY, SD – The St. Thomas More Lady Cavaliers held the Sturgis Scoopers to just eight first half points on their way to a 48-22 win on Thursday night.
Sloane Keszler poured in 15 points, including two three pointers in the second half to lead STM, who improved to 8-4 on the season. Megan Lee chipped in nine points and 10 rebounds for the Lady Cavs, who shot 38% from the field and 73% from the charity stripe. STM had six turnovers and 20 rebounds on the night.
Addy Kossler led Sturgis with seven points. Tori Williams added six points for the Scoopers, who fell to 2-7 on the year. Sturgis shot 23% from the field and 25% from the free throw line. The Scoopers committed 12 turnovers and grabbed 21 boards.
The Scooper boys and girls travel to Pine Ridge on Friday night to take on the Red Cloud Crusaders.
