Monday’s COVID-19 report – 61 new cases, no new deaths

PIERRE, S.D. – New COVID-19 cases were under 100 today as the state health department reported 61 with 17 of them probable.

Active cases saw a small increase, from 2,073 Sunday to 2,092 Monday.

The number of people hospitalized was down one to 86.

No new deaths were reported today, so the state’s death toll remains at 1,844.

Across the Black Hills area, there were just 13 new cases, 4 of them listed as probable.

Two counties reported new cases today; Pennington with 12 and Lawrence County with one.
