PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Health reported 575 new cases of COVID-19 over the past week.
In their weekly report, issued Wednesday, the department reported 49 total hospitalizations due to COVID, and there are 428 active cases.
Four new deaths among cases were listed, sending the state’s death toll to 3,149.
Across the Black Hills area, Pennington County reported 71 new cases over the past week. Meade County added 10 new cases and Lawrence County had 7.
Elsewhere, Butte County reported 8 new cases, Oglala Lakota County had 14, Fall River County showed 6 and Custer County had four.
