PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Health on Thursday began combining new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19, rather than separating them in their daily report.
Under the new format, the department reported 733 new confirmed and probable cases today.
Active cases continue to decline as 27,003 were listed Thursday.
Hospitalizations have dropped by a nearly a dozen to 344.
There were twelve new deaths reported, sending the state’s death toll to 2,677.
Across the Black Hills area, Pennington County reported 120 new cases, Lawrence County added 22 and Meade County had 24.
Elsewhere, Oglala Lakota reported 36 new cases, Butte County added 13, Fall River County listed 10 and Custer County had 9.
